This rattan cane webbing can be purchased by the meter with a width of 50 cm (over which the weaving threads extend by at least 15 mm). The length of the roll is exactly 15.24m (50ft). The product with item number TH-1/2-50-G is a reed braid with holes, also known as tonett, rattan fabric. In the past, it was also called Spanish reed. The rattan reed fabric has a natural straw yellow color and is not bleached. For this reason, it has a slightly better price than reed braids of the same quality marked “S”, as a work phase is omitted during the processing. Traditionally, this type of rattan material by the meter is used for repairing rattan chair seats and Thonet chair reeding.

S, G, N - what does the letter mean in the reference codes?
There are three different rattan fabric quality classifications.
S, i.e. Superior - special quality, good load-bearing capacity, so this tonet material is the most suitable for reeding the thonet chair.
G - i.e. Good - natural straw yellow color, can be used to re-reed the back of a thonet chair during renovation, and as rattan inserts for cabinet doors or to make a radiator cabinet.
N, i.e. Normal – first-class reed braid, butter-colored, most people buy it as a material for radiator covers or door front inserts.
