The art of marquetry: Relaxation and creativity
Intarsia means insertion in Arabic. It has been a popular decorative art element since antiquity and is still widely used today. In some cases, the inlaid wood is artificially coloured; in the past, wood discoloured by fungi was used for this purpose. Nowadays, however, many people use various water and spirit stains. We prefer the natural things. The marquetry kits and wooden inlay patterns we offer are not surface-treated and can therefore be varnished as you wish. The inlay material INT-743 is well suited to most furniture designs.

Why is the marquetry fillet 0.6 mm thick?
The 0.6 mm thick veneer is the most common in Europe, so this is the most practical width to produce. If the veneer is thinner and you need to add the intarsias, there is no problem as you can sand the two materials together.
