Light spiral marquetry designs for restoring old furniture
Intarsia art with wood
The Arabic word intarsia means insertion. It is the decoration of various wooden surfaces, especially when restoring furniture, achieved by means of wooden inlays, veneers, in a way that the finished surface is in one plane. The material used for this purpose is veneer with a thickness of 0,6 or 0,8 mm. The veneer marquetry is produced from different types of wood logs by turning or slicing. The wood inlay pattern in the selection of Naturtrend Shop is well suited for veneering because it is 0.6 mm thick, the same as the most commonly used veneers, so it can be easily inserted into the veneer. The treatment of inlay patterns is not different from that of veneers, but it is more fragile due to the small width.
Wood inlay ready to use
The inlaid pattern of INT-705 is classic and is a great choice for furniture restoration, but it is also an excellent option for cabinet refurbishment or other inlaid furniture. The INT-705 wood inlay veneer offered on Naturtrend Shop is made of wood veneer and can be sanded. A wide variety of wood inlays in several sizes are available in our shop, meeting most inlay design needs.
