Crown molding, capital molding in Corinthian column style
Give new life to your old furniture, furniture renovation at home
Furniture restorers have an easier job with wooden carvings, as that way, decoration only takes some sanding, gluing and painting. The VK-379 crown molding bears the hallmarks of the Corinthian column. The stylized acanthus leaf pattern emerges as the main motif in its pattern.
What is exotic wood?
It's actually rubber tree from which they get caoutchouc. It can be painted and stained just like any other European wood. It is harder than pine, but softer than beech. According to its fiber structure and color, it is between beech and oak.
Capitellum in Greek means head, capital of a column, the closing element of a capital. In architecture, three capitals of Greek columns were distinguished, the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian capitals, which in our case are decorated with the well-known acanthus leaf pattern.
