For outdoor use, ask for the bamboo blinds oiled, as they are more resistant to sunlight and humidity. Rolls made from bamboo are untreated, but if both sides are thinly coated with wood oil, they will be moderately waterproof, making them suitable for outdoor shading of patios or balconies from spring to autumn. You can also request this wood oil treatment when ordering your blinds, but regardless of this, it is advisable to treat them with wood oil annually.
