This ball of wood is available in several sizes, with diameters of 3 cm, 5 cm, and 6 cm. The decorative wood moulding has a size tolerance of plus or minus 3%. Material: beech. The hard structure of beech wood makes it an ideal selection for demanding woodcarving projects. Its even, fine grain makes it easy to work with, allowing you to achieve a smooth surface. Its pinkish base color responds well to various finishing techniques—staining brings out deeper tones, while lacquering gives it a glossy, elegant appearance. This product is unfinished.
Our webshop offers wooden products in various styles (baroque, gothic, modern, etc.) and functions (capitals, corner ornaments, rosettes, etc.). This way, everyone can find the woodcarving that best fits their home both in style and function. Choose from our wide range of cabinetmakers' supplies and create a unique project! Before applying any finishing method, make sure the surface is free of dust and grease. Our products are available completely natural, so with lacquering, glazing, staining, oiling, and waxing, the grain patterns of the wood can be beautifully highlighted. With opaque paint, you can match the color of the furniture knob to your furniture or create an eye-catching contrast.
First, make a pilot hole in the ball for the wood screw (without drilling all the way through the ball). The pilot hole should be about 60% of the screw diameter (e.g., for a 6 mm screw, pre-drill with a 4 mm bit). Mark the exact place of the handle on the front of the cabinet and make a hole there, if it's not already present. This way, you can easily insert the wood screw from the inside of the cabinet front into the predrilled hole.
This ball of wood made by woodturning serves excellently as a cabinet knob or handle. During door renovation, a vintage handle can give a cabinet door a completely new look. This product is available pre-sanded and in a natural finish, so everyone can match their project with the surface treatment that best suits their needs.
