What surface treatment methods can be used on wooden carvings?

Before beginning any surface treatment, it is advisable to ensure the surface is free from dust and grease. With varnishing, staining, oiling, or waxing, you can highlight the wood grain pattern. For staining, consider using a filling primer (Milesi), which helps prevent tonal differences. With covering paint, you can match its color to your newly crafted furniture.

How can I glue on wooden carvings?

Our carvings can be easily glued onto any wooden or wood-covered flat surface—no cabinetmaker experience is required! First, sand the back of the wooden carving and the receiving surface if needed, then carefully remove all dust from both. Next, apply a thin, even layer of wood glue to both surfaces and join them together. Any excess glue that seeps out should be wiped off with a damp cloth before it dries to avoid marks. Clamp or weigh down the joined surfaces for the duration of drying, which may take up to 24 hours.
