Bamboo blinds

We manufacture custom made bamboo rollers. We can also make blinds for a small window or a large terrace.  You can choose from several materials and 3 different types of construction, so you can specify more than just the width and height of the blind. The blinds are made of natural material, bamboo sticks. These bamboo materials are available in different shades of brown. The brown colour becomes different shades when the sticks are heated, so the sticks are not painted, but the sugar in the bamboo caramelises under the heat.

It is a practical shade, which is also a very good screening solution, and it is also perfect for interior decoration because of its aesthetic appeal and its natural material, which makes it a perfect match for wooden furniture.

What are the dimensions of bamboo blinds?

You can order bamboo blinds of any width, however, we cannot produce blinds wider than 240 cm, as there is no wider material available. There is no height restriction, as each roll of bamboo is 15 m long and can be made into any size of roll.

How do I treat the bamboo blinds to make them suitable for outdoor use?

Rolls made from bamboo are untreated, but if both sides are thinly coated with wood oil, they will be moderately waterproof, making them suitable for outdoor shading of patios or balconies from spring to autumn. You can also request this wood oil treatment when ordering your blinds, but regardless of this, it is advisable to treat them with wood oil annually. For this we recommend, for example, Sadolin garden furniture wood oil.

Where can I find a professional to install bamboo blinds?

These blinds are easy to install. You don't need to call a professional as they are much easier to install than a plastic roller blind.

Which bamboo blind should I order for a slanted window?

Even if the roof of your veranda or pergola is sloping, you can still buy a slanted blind. You can order custom blinds that fit the shape of a slanted window or can be fitted to a roof opening.

A few words about bamboo Roman blinds

Bamboo Roman blinds or also known as Roman blinds are made with a hidden mechanism. The material of the bamboo roller blind does not roll when it is wound up, but flattens. Please note: Bamboo Roman blinds are not recommended for lengths longer than 1.5 m!
