When embellishing furniture, wood corner molding placed along the axis of harmony has great visual value. Wood corner molding is also perfect for decorating chests, cabinets or bed ends. These carvings can be used not only for furniture building but also for interior decoration, such as for decorative fireplaces, doors, or wall panel embellishments. Plant motifs are among the most popular forms of wood corner molding, appearing as leaf and flower patterns in the carvings. These decorative elements are commonly used on both classic and modern furniture, providing a natural and elegant look. Repairing antique furniture with these carvings can make wood furniture truly spectacular! Today's designers increasingly use these traditional elements to add warmth and character to contemporary spaces. Thanks to wood corner molding, contemporary furniture can also achieve that handcrafted quality that distinguishes them from mass-produced pieces.

For wooden carvings we recommend using wood glue. This gluing technique is very simple and does not require special tools. First, sand the back of the wood corner molding if necessary, as well as the receiving surface, and thoroughly dust them. Then apply a thin, even layer of wood glue to both surfaces and press them together. Clamp the two pieces with a cabinetmaker clamp or press, and wipe off any excess glue from the sides with a damp cloth before it hardens. Drying time can take up to 24 hours, so it is advisable to keep the clamp on until then.
Thanks to the good properties of exotic wood, it accepts any form of surface treatment easily. Thus, during wooden onlays, a perfectly uniform result can be achieved. The pattern of the wood grain can be highlighted with varnish, stain, wax, oil, or dye. By painting, the wood carving can be matched to the colors of our home and the furniture being made. Since our carvings are all pre-sanded, you only need to ensure the surface is dust- and grease-free before finishing.
The acanthus leaf motif is one of the oldest and most significant decorative patterns in Western culture, with plant motifs bringing harmony. It has been present in art and architecture for more than 2500 years. Its meaning symbolizes eternal life, rebirth, and indomitable vitality, as the plant itself is extremely resilient and regenerates quickly. On wood embellishment for furniture, acanthus leaf motifs lend classic elegance—they can be used to decorate capitals, table tops and cabinet doors as frames, wood corner molding on furniture, or as crown molding atop cabinets.
