The product’s dimensional tolerance is plus or minus 3%. It is a capital with a clean, elegant pattern and a modern appearance. It is made of exotic wood. This is a sustainable wood material, sourced as a secondary use from rubber plantations, making it an excellent choice for the environment. It is a medium-hard wood that is stable and durable, while also relatively easy to work with. Thanks to its global availability, this product offers a practical and economical solution for furniture renovations. This product is not surface-treated.

Capitals can be used widely as decorative elements in our homes. We can give a clean yet unique appearance to a decorative fireplace, bookshelf, or desk. Thanks to the excellent qualities of this exotic wood, it accepts any surface treatment method well. By lacquering, glazing, staining, oiling, or waxing, the grain of the wood can be highlighted. With opaque paint, a uniform color can be given to the carving, matching the finish of the furniture being made. Whatever surface treatment method we choose, the surface must be free of dust and grease.
Wooden carvings can be successfully attached at home without any special cabinetmaker skills or specific tools. As a first step, sand the receiving surface and, if necessary, the back of the carving. Then, dust both surfaces and coat them evenly with a thin layer of woodworking glue. Next, fit the two pieces together and press them with a clamp or weights. Wipe off any glue that seeps out the sides with a damp cloth before it dries so it won’t leave a mark. It is advisable to keep the clamp on for the entire drying time, which may take up to 24 hours.
The ionic capital is a defining element of classical Greek architecture, standing between the Doric and Corinthian capitals both in appearance and ornamentation. It spread further into Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo decorative arts, such as carved wooden ornaments on frames, furniture, and stucco. While the Doric column represents strength and masculinity, and the Corinthian stands for grandeur and wealth, the ionic capital symbolizes proportion, lightness, and sophisticated beauty. For this reason, it was often used in temples and public buildings to emphasize harmony and culture. Its most characteristic feature is the volute, the outward-spiraling motif on either side of the capital, which suggests refinement and harmony. According to some interpretations, the shape of the volute originates in nature: it may allude to a seashell, vine, or even a lock of female hair, thus symbolizing delicacy, femininity, and grace.
