Door mouldings should be fixed to wood with wood glue or with specific adhesive for other surfaces. This can be easily done without the help of a cabinetmaker. As a first step, sand the surface to be glued and the back of the door mouldings if necessary, then carefully remove all dust. Apply a thin, even layer of wood glue to both surfaces and then press the workpieces together precisely. For the drying period, clamp or weigh them together. If the glue oozes out at the sides, simply wipe it off with a damp cloth before it hardens. It is recommended to wait the suggested 24 hours for drying before removing the clamp.

The acanthus leaf is one of the oldest and most significant decorative motifs in Western culture. It has been used for thousands of years in both art and architecture. Because the plant is highly resilient and regenerates quickly, its primary meaning unsurprisingly includes eternal life, rebirth, and indomitable vitality. On decorative elements and carvings, acanthus patterns bring classic elegance. They can be used for decorating column capitals, tabletops, and cabinet doors as borders, as corner ornaments on furniture, or as crown decoration on top of cabinets.
