Press the joined parts together with a clamp or a weight while drying, which may take up to 24 hours. Any excess glue should be wiped off with a damp cloth before it dries so it won't leave a mark.

Before starting any treatment, make sure the surface is free of dust and grease. With varnishing, staining, oiling, or waxing, you can highlight the pattern of the wood grain. When staining, it is recommended to use a filler primer (such as Milesi), helping to avoid differences in tone. With topcoat paint, you can match the color of the carving to your new furniture.
