The base material is exotic (rubber) wood. Rubberwood has ecological advantages since it is made as a byproduct of rubber plantations, qualifying as a recycled material. This product is not surface treated.

They can also be used as trim on mirrors or shelves, refining their style. Additionally, they are suitable for home decor projects, such as on pharmacy and shop wall panels or as unique decorative elements for gift boxes. Since our carvings with acanthus leaf motif are sold without surface treatment, you enjoy complete creative freedom during finishing. Thus, you can paint, varnish, stain, or even gild the wood carved appliques to match your furniture’s style. A layer of lacquer provides durable protection against wear, while paint can highlight the details of the carvings. The choice of final surface treatment is completely up to you.
First, sand the back of the wood ornament and the surface it will be attached to, then thoroughly remove all dust from both parts. Evenly apply a thin layer of wood glue to both prepared surfaces. Precisely join the two parts together. While drying, secure them with a clamp or press them together with a heavy object. If glue seeps out at the sides, immediately wipe it off with a damp cloth. For a strong bond, allow the recommended 24-hour drying time.
The chalice motif, also called goblet, is a frequently used decorative element in the cabinetmaker's art. It was especially popular during the Renaissance and Baroque periods, where it also held symbolic significance. The stylized form appeared on pharmacy furniture, elegant store fixtures, or even in marquetry inlays. It often served to highlight wealth, formality, or sacredness. It was sometimes combined with other motifs, such as flowers or fruits, for a richer effect.
