Furniture restoration can be a simple process, especially when using pre-carved wooden carvings. Ready-made wooden ornaments are a perfect solution as they help save both time and money. They are excellent for decorating cabinets, dressers, decorative fireplaces, doors, windows, wooden chests, gift boxes, and other furniture pieces.
Sizes: width from 6 cm to 8 cm, height from 6 cm to 8 cm, thickness between 0.7 cm and 0.9 cm, available in multiple sizes. Size tolerance is plus or minus 3%. The wooden carving is decorated with a floral motif. Its material is exotic (rubber) wood. Rubber wood is a sustainable timber sourced as a byproduct from rubber plantations, making it an excellent eco-friendly choice. Its natural light color provides a neutral base for any surface finishing technique—from paint to stains and wax. Thanks to its affordable price and good properties, it is becoming a more popular alternative to traditional European wood species. The product is not surface-treated.
Whether you are a professional cabinetmaker or a hobbyist, wooden carvings make restoration significantly easier and offer many advantages. Our carvings are made from solid wood, not sawdust, therefore they retain their beauty on furniture for many years. The wooden carvings come with a pre-sanded surface, which facilitates use, especially for hobby DIYers. Their application is not complicated; a simple woodworking glue is sufficient, so anyone can easily perform the task at home.
Thanks to the ornate design of the carving, antique cabinets can instantly gain a unique appearance. It can easily be stained, so it can be adjusted to match the color of the cabinet and does not stand out from the rest of the furniture. Gluing it on is a simple task, and cabinetmaker skills are not necessary to achieve an aesthetic result. We ship it directly from stock, allowing renovation to begin promptly. Decorating doors and windows with carvings is an everlasting classic that will likely never go out of style.
First, if the surface to be restored is lacquered, the lacquer should be removed with sandpaper or any preferred method. Next, make sure the sanded receiving surface is free from dust, grease, and dirt. For gluing, we recommend using woodworking glue for wooden surfaces; for other surfaces, a special adhesive is necessary. Apply a thin, even layer of woodworking glue to both surfaces, then carefully combine the two parts. During drying, clamp or press them together using a cabinetmaker’s clamp or weight. As a final step, wipe off any excess glue with a clean, damp cloth. The drying time is generally 24 hours. If you follow the steps precisely, the decorations will adhere permanently and the antique cabinet renovation will be a guaranteed success.
The wooden carvings in our range are suitable for oil surface treatment. For this purpose, it is recommended to use standard furniture oil, which is easy to acquire and easy to use. After thorough shaking, wipe the entire surface of the wood carving with a clean, dry cloth. It is worth letting it sit for a few minutes so the surface can absorb the oil. As a final step, wipe off the excess with another clean, dry cloth. Drying time depends on the oil, but it is recommended to wait 24 hours.
The rossette is an outstanding decorative element that emphasizes the geometry and proportion of furniture craftsmanship. Its circular pattern creates elegance and visual stability on the furniture surface. With its design-oriented application, the central features of furniture can be highlighted without overburdening the composition. Its carved variations enhance the sense of craftsmanship and durability. In furniture design, the rossette serves as a tool for refining shapes and details.
