For glazing, it's worth considering the use of a filler primer (Milési) to avoid tonal differences. With topcoat paint, you can match the color of the rosette to your new furniture. In all cases, make sure the surface is free from dust and grease before starting finishing!
Our wooden elements can easily be glued onto any wooden or wood-covered flat surface. First, sand the back of the wood corner molding and the receiving surface, then thoroughly remove any dust from both. Then apply a thin, even layer of wood glue to both surfaces and fit them together. Wipe off any glue that squeezes out the side with a damp cloth before it dries to avoid leaving marks. Clamp or press the joined surfaces with a weight for the drying period, which can take up to 24 hours. Before gluing, it is worth doing a dry fit of the ornament on the designated surface to ensure it fits exactly. In joinery, it is common to arrange multiple elements side by side to create a complete pattern series.
The acanthus leaf motif is one of the most significant decorative designs from antiquity, symbolizing eternal life, rebirth, and the invincible power of nature in Greek culture. Despite its thorny, sharp leaves, the Greeks recognized the acanthus plant's extraordinary resilience as a symbol of human perseverance and the ability to overcome obstacles. To this day, the acanthus leaf motif remains widespread in Western cultures.
