It is made from exotic wood (rubberwood), a sustainable material sourced from secondary use of rubber plantations. From an environmental perspective, this is an excellent choice. This medium-hard wood is stable and durable, while still being relatively easy to work with. Thanks to its light, uniform color and even grain, it is perfect for making detailed ornaments and is compatible with all types of finishes. This product is unfinished.

Our products are sold in natural and pre-sanded condition, making them suitable for all kinds of finishing methods. Before starting the finishing process, it is recommended to ensure the surface is free of dust and grease. Varnishing, staining, oiling, and waxing can help accentuate the grain pattern of the wood. In some cases, such as staining, it is advised to use a filler primer (e.g. Milesi) so that the various wood sections (like end grain) absorb the top coat evenly. You can match the color of the crown molding UK to the new furniture with covering paint. According to cabinetmakers' practice, it is recommended to apply the finish in two thin layers for a durable and even coating.
Carved wooden ornaments can be easily adhered to any flat wood or wood-covered surface. First, sand the back of the wooden ornament if needed, and the surface to be glued, then thoroughly remove dust from both. Next, apply a thin and even layer of wood glue to both surfaces and join them precisely. Any excess glue should be wiped off with a damp cloth before drying to avoid leaving marks. Clamp or weigh down the joined area during drying, which can take up to 24 hours for a perfect result. If needed, you can also reinforce the ornament with small brads or wire nails. In this case, pre-drill holes for the nails to prevent the wood from splitting. Sink the nail heads below the wood surface and fill the holes with wood filler.
The scalloped shell's hard, protective exterior symbolizes resilience and defense, while the process of molting and renewal gives a powerful message of rebirth and renewal. The sea shell, symbolizing fertility, was important to both Greeks and Romans. It was associated with the Greek goddess Aphrodite and her Roman counterpart Venus. The acanthus leaf primarily symbolizes eternal life, rebirth, and indomitable vitality, as the plant is extremely resilient and quickly regenerates, even if its leaves are cut. During the Renaissance and Baroque periods, master cabinetmakers frequently used the leaf motif on carved cabinets and consoles.
