It is ecologically beneficial, as it is made from leftover wood from rubber plantations, making it a recycled material. Attaching the ornamentation

To attach the carved pieces, we recommend using wood glue. Attaching is not limited to wood surfaces, so you can also fix them to plywood or plasterboard without any worries. As a first step, sand the back of the decorative wood moulding as well as the receiving surface. Next, make sure both surfaces are free of dust and grease. Apply a thin and even layer of wood glue to both prepared surfaces, then carefully join the two pieces together. While drying, press them together using a clamp or weight. If the glue seeps out from the sides, wipe it off with a damp cloth so that no trace remains after drying. It is advisable to wait the recommended 24 hours for drying.

Thanks to the exotic wood’s excellent properties, this ornamentation readily accepts any type of surface treatment. Whether it's lacquer, stain, oiling or painting, all products available in our webshop are pre-sanded and thus prepped for finishing. Our carvings are sold without surface treatment. This way, you can decide which type of surface treatment you prefer.

Useful tips for surface treatment

Before surface treating, make sure the ornament is free from dust and grease. If you want a completely uniform shade when staining, it is also recommended to use a filler primer. If you want to preserve the wood grain pattern, choose oiling, lacquering, or staining. When painting, the wooden carving patterns can either be highlighted or blended into a piece of uniform color furniture.
