Preparation: Dust off the trellis panel and, if necessary, remove any dirt with a cleaner such as turpentine. Priming: Use a primer if you want a long-lasting and even finish. Painting method: It is practical to use a spray painter, resulting in a more even surface. Painting with a brush is not ideal, as the paint may run on the backside. Choose the type of paint according to your usage needs. Usually, a single layer of staining, followed by varnishing if needed, brings out the pattern of the wooden trellis panels’ base material best.
Before fixing, measure the inner size of the frame and cut the diamond wooden trellis to the required dimensions. Be sure to make it 1-2 mm smaller so that it does not fit too tightly into the frame. Insert the wood trellis panels into the frame and ensure they are properly positioned. For gluing, it is recommended to use silicone adhesive or another paste-like glue. Apply a thin layer of glue to the inner edge of the frame, then place the trellis on it and press down onto the surface. If possible, clamp or weigh it down until the adhesive sets.
