What is the process for gluing wooden carvings?
We recommend using standard wood glue for attaching these decorative wood panels. Before gluing, it is advisable to lightly sand the receiving surface; the decorations themselves do not need sanding, as we send them already pre-sanded. For a long-lasting result, make sure the surface is free of dust and grease. Next, apply a thin, even layer of wood glue to both prepared surfaces, then join the two pieces together. During drying, press them together with a cabinetmaker clamp or a weight. If any glue seeps out the sides, simply wipe it away with a damp cloth. It's recommended to wait the full 24 hours for drying.
Can wood carvings be oiled?
Yes, wood carvings are excellent for treating with wood oil. Traditional wood oil is perfect for this purpose. After shaking the oil, use a clean cloth to apply it over the entire surface of the decoration. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the wood to absorb it, which highlights the wood's grain.
