No special tools are required for the attachment. You only need a few easily obtainable items: sandpaper, wood glue (D2 or D3), and something to clamp the wood carvings during drying. Gluing steps: the wood carvings don’t need further sanding, but it is recommended to sand the surface of the furniture before application. Apply glue to both clean surfaces and spread it evenly. Then, simply clamp the two surfaces together while drying. This can be done in several ways: using a carpenter's clamp or by pressing with weights. If any glue seeps out around the wood carvings, carefully wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth to prevent stains after drying. Depending on temperature, after a few hours the glue will hold well enough to remove the clamp or press. For safety, it is recommended to wait until fully dry, which may take 12-24 hours.
Our wood carvings UK are sold unfinished, offering you complete freedom for creative realization. The leaf is one of the oldest and most significant decorative motifs in Western culture, present in art and architecture for over 2500 years. As early as the 5th century BC, this spiny-leafed plant was used to decorate the Corinthian capital of columns, becoming a recurring motif in several historical eras. Its primary meaning is eternal life, rebirth, and indomitable vitality, as this plant is highly resilient and quickly regenerates even if its leaves are cut. The acanthus running along the tops of cabinets and libraries provides a finishing, crowning effect as the capital of columns end piece. Ornamentation featuring the acanthus motif is a timeless choice, ensuring elegant and classic appearance while carrying deep cultural roots and positive symbols.
