The base material comes from dismantled rubber wood plantations, making it a recycled material. You can use a wood stain, in which case the wood’s character and the original grain will remain visible depending on the coloring material. You can apply lacquer, which forms a hard, clear or colored protective layer on the wood surface; unlike stain, it does not penetrate the wood. This layer protects excellently against scratches, wear, and moisture, but if damaged, it may peel or crack. Lacquer makes the wood's grain visible, creating a much shinier, more artistic effect than stain. Finally, you can apply oil, which likewise highlights the wood’s grain.

This can be done in various ways: with a quick clamp or by pressing with weights. If some glue seeps out around the carving, we recommend wiping it off with a slightly damp cloth so you won’t have issues later. For safety, allow the glue to dry completely, which may take 12–24 hours.
