The tolerance of its dimensions is plus or minus 3%. The tympanum-shaped carving features a shell pattern and an acanthus leaves pattern. It is made from exotic (rubber) wood. Rubberwood is a sustainable material sourced from secondary use of rubber plantations, making it an excellent eco-friendly choice. Its medium-hard structure provides adequate durability while remaining easy to work with and carve. Thanks to its good properties, it is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to traditional European types of wood. It is unfinished.

How should you glue wooden carvings?
First, both surfaces should be cleaned, as dust will prevent adhesion. The ornaments arrive pre-sanded, but it is advisable to check them before application. For gluing, it is recommended to use a simple wood adhesive, applying a thin, even layer to both the ornament and the receiving surface. After joining, press them together with a cabinetmaker clamp or weight during drying. It is worth waiting the recommended 24 hours for drying, and if any glue seeps out, wipe off the excess with a damp cloth.
How else can you fix wooden carvings besides using glue?
Carvings can also be secured with nails. For mechanical fastening, it is recommended to use small brads or wire nails, as they will not split the wood and are less visible. It is advisable to place the nails in pre-drilled holes during assembly. The nail heads can be set below the wood surface with a countersink, then covered aesthetically with wood filler. This method provides a secure and durable solution for affixing wooden carvings.
