Technical details of the decorative wooden mouldings
The FK-320 decorative wooden moulding is available in two sizes. Its width ranges from 60 cm to 70 cm, its height from 6 cm to 7 cm, and its thickness is 0.8 cm. The dimensional tolerance is plus or minus 3%. The vegetal ornamentation is adorned with vines and an escutcheon motif in the center. It is made of exotic wood. This is an environmentally friendly choice, as this wood is reused for furniture purposes after rubber production. Its medium hardness provides the ideal balance between workability and durability. Thanks to its light, homogenous coloring and uniform grain, it is perfect for creating detailed embellishments and is compatible with all types of surface finishes. This product is not surface treated.

How to glue decorative wooden mouldings?
Gluing them is simple; it requires neither special tools nor particular expertise! It is not necessary to sand the back of the decorative wooden carvings, only the receiving surface should be sanded and thoroughly dusted. Then, apply a thin and even layer of wood glue to both surfaces and fit the two pieces together precisely. If any glue seeps out at the sides, it is best to wipe it off with a damp cloth as soon as possible. During drying, press the two surfaces together with a cabinetmaker's clamp or weight. It is advisable to wait for the recommended (usually) 24-hour drying time before removing the clamp. How to treat the surface of decorative wooden mouldings?
The carvings are sold untreated, but the surface of the ornamentation is sanded. They can be easily painted, oiled, lacquered, or stained in any color, so they fit well into any style. Proper preparation, degreasing, and dust removal prior to surface treatment is important. Priming treatment (e.g., with Milesi) ensures that paint or stain provides uniform color coverage on the carving as well as on the cut fibers created during carving. Its light, cream base color can be easily combined with other types of wood as well.
