No special tools are needed for the attachment. Only a few easily accessible items are needed: sandpaper, wood glue (D2 or D3), and something to clamp the wooden carving during drying. Steps for gluing: the wood ornament does not need further sanding, but it’s advisable to sand the receiving surface of the furniture first. Apply glue to both cleaned surfaces, then spread it evenly. After that, simply clamp the two surfaces together during drying. This can be done in several ways: using a cabinetmaker’s clamp or applying weights. If any glue seeps out around the wooden carving, carefully wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth so no stain remains after drying. Depending on temperature, after a few hours the glue will hold sufficiently, so the clamp or press can be removed. For safety, it is advisable to wait for the glue to fully dry, which can take 12–24 hours.
