Technical details of the wood ornament
This flower garland carved wood ornament is available in several sizes. Width: 40 - 50 cm, height: 7 - 12 cm, thickness available from 1.1 cm. It forms a vertical flower garland, decorated with applique flower patterns. Its dimensional tolerance is plus or minus 3%. It is made of exotic wood, a sustainably sourced material thanks to the secondary use of rubberwood. As its color is light and natural, it provides a neutral base suitable for all finishing methods—from painting through stains to waxing. This product is unfinished.

This is partly because attaching them (not only to wood surfaces) is very simple. Secondly, the finishing style can be adjusted to the color and style of the furniture. This way, you can either highlight the grain of the wood carving (with lacquer, stain, or oil), or unify it with the furniture’s color (by painting it to match). How do I fix the wood carving?
No special skills or tools are needed to fix these wood ornaments. We recommend using wood glue for attachment. First, sand the receiving surface and then remove any dust. Next, apply a thin and even layer of wood glue to both prepared surfaces and then join the two pieces together. While drying, press them together with a woodworking clamp or a weight. If glue seeps out from the sides, simply wipe it off with a damp cloth. It is advisable to wait the recommended 24 hours for drying.
Which finishing methods can be applied?
All ornaments available in our webshop are sanded and come untreated. Thus, they accept any finish well. With lacquer, stain, oil, or wax, we can highlight the pattern of the wood grain. By painting, we can match the wooden carvings to the colors of our home and new furniture. It’s important to make sure the surface is free of dust and grease before applying any finishing method!
