Of course it's possible, as gluing consists of only a few simple steps and if you follow our instructions, you'll surely succeed. No special tools are needed for mounting, just easily available items: sandpaper, wood glue (D2 or D3), and something to clamp the ornaments during drying. Only sand the back of the ornament if necessary, but always roughen the surface it will be affixed to using sandpaper. Apply glue to both dust-free surfaces and then spread it evenly. After this, simply clamp the two surfaces together during drying using a woodworking clamp or by pressing with weights. As a final step, wipe off any excess glue with a clean, damp cloth before it sets. It is advisable to wait for the glue to fully dry, which can take up to 24 hours. After that, the clamp or weight can be removed. These steps are necessary for a durable attachment of the ornament; if you are still unsure after reading the instructions, ask for assistance from a fine woodworking professional.
All our wooden carvings are suitable for oil surface treatment, as we sell them in a natural, untreated state. For this purpose, furniture oil is recommended—it is easy to obtain and simple to use. After shaking the oil thoroughly, wipe the entire surface of the wooden carving with a clean, dry cloth. Leave the oil on for a few minutes to allow it to be absorbed into the surface. Then remove any excess using another clean, dry cloth. The drying time is usually one day. If you follow each step precisely, your completed work is guaranteed to remain beautiful and durable for a long time.
The rossette is an outstanding decorative component that emphasizes the geometry and proportion of furniture craftsmanship. Its circular pattern creates elegance and visual stability on the surface of the furniture. With design-oriented application, central details of the furniture can be highlighted without overwhelming the composition. Both carved and pressed versions strengthen the sense of craftsmanship and durability. Thus, the rossette is a key element in achieving harmony and aesthetic unity in furniture design.
