How to mount wooden carvings?
No professional knowledge or special tools are required to glue the wooden carvings! First, sand the receiving surface and thoroughly remove any dust. Afterwards, apply a thin, even layer of wood glue to both surfaces. Carefully press the two surfaces together and wipe away any excess glue with a damp cloth. Then, clamp or press the surfaces together with a vise and allow the glue to dry. It is recommended to wait for the full drying time, which is usually 24 hours.
What surface treatment is recommended for wooden carvings?

Escutcheon motif – looking back in history
The use of the escutcheon motif in furniture decoration has a long history, especially with noble, bourgeois, and ecclesiastical furniture. On Baroque and Renaissance furniture, you can observe detailed escutcheon depictions that follow heraldic rules. Civic and noble furniture often featured stylized, decorative shield forms. The escutcheon ornament was not only a decorative element, but also a visual expression of the owner's identity.
Pomegranate as a furniture decorating element
The pomegranate motif in furniture decoration primarily symbolized fertility, abundance, and the renewal of life. It was often used on Renaissance and Baroque style furniture, either carved or as inlay, especially on door fronts and chests. The pomegranate pattern could appear in stylized or natural form, sometimes accompanied by leaves and tendrils.
