This wooden rosette is available in several sizes: width from 13.2 to 27.2 cm, height from 7.7 to 14.6 cm, and thickness from 0.9 to 1 cm in our webshop. Its size tolerance is plus or minus 3%. The RK-657 wooden carving is decorated with a flower pattern and features tendrils. Material: exotic wood. This sustainable wood comes from the secondary use of rubberwood, making it an excellent environmental choice. Its medium-hard structure ensures good durability, while it is also easy to work and carve. Its natural light color provides a neutral base for any finishing technique—be it painting, varnishing, staining, or waxing. This product is unfinished.

Gluing wood carvings
No special tools or expertise are required for gluing the wooden carvings. The surface on which the wood carving is applied should be free from dust and grease. Both the back of the wood carving and the receiving surface should be roughened and then cleaned. Apply wood glue in a thin, even layer to both prepared surfaces. Press the two pieces precisely together and clamp them with a cabinetmaker's clamp or press during drying. Any glue that oozes out at the sides should be wiped away immediately with a damp cloth so it does not leave marks. The drying time can be up to 24 hours; it's best to keep the clamp on during that time.
What finishes can be used on wood carvings?
Our webshop offers wooden decorations without any finishing, so you can achieve many different results depending on the finishing method you choose. Whether painting, varnishing, staining, or waxing, the light color and pre-sanded surface of the exotic wood accept all kinds of finishes beautifully. Painting will give the wood carvings a uniform color, while varnishing, staining, or oiling allows the pattern of the wood grain to show through. Different parts of the wood's structure (such as the end grain) absorb stain differently, so there may be slight variations in the color of the surface. If you want to achieve a uniform color shade, it is recommended to use a filler primer as the first coat on the wooden decoration.
