Outdoor bamboo blinds provide effective shading and, with their natural appearance, integrate harmoniously into any outdoor space. They are easy to install, and for smaller sizes, no drilling is required for mounting. BC12 is an excellent choice for shading vertical surfaces, especially where filtering slanted light effectively is important.
Privacy blinds offer excellent shading capabilities. It can be used outdoors for a long time if the surface is properly treated. Moreover, every design comes with a braked mechanism, making it easy to stop the blind at any height.
The material is woven with Teflon thread (that is UV resistant) and features a decorative bamboo blind design on both sides. Color: 3 cream-colored rods, 1 cream-colored slat. Maximum width: 180 cm. Made to measure bamboo blinds are manufactured based on your order, so accurate dimensions are important. They serve perfectly as privacy blinds, bamboo porch shades or bamboo blinds for balcony.
Mechanics: 1G Traditional bamboo roller blind with visible mechanismClassic, visible mechanism. Easy to install, entirely metal construction. Can be installed without drilling. We do not manufacture blinds taller than 3 meters with this mechanism, as the slats are not structurally suitable for this. The blind material rolls up from the bottom. |
Mechanics: 2G Indoor and outdoor bamboo blinds with concealed mechanismThe mechanism is covered by a skirt. This hides the mechanism. You do not need to take this into account when specifying the dimensions of the roller blind! We also recommend it for large, extra-wide or extra-high outdoor bamboo roller blinds. The roller blind material rolls up from the bottom. |
Mechanics: 3G This bamboo roller blind is made with reinforced slats and no skirting. Its design is the same as the 2G, but it does not have a skirt, so the mechanism is visible. We also recommend it for large, extra-wide or extra-long bamboo blinds. Particularly good for outdoor bamboo blind mechanisms. The shade material rolls up from the bottom. |
Mechanics: 2R Bamboo Roman blind (raffrollo) with concealed mechanismThe bamboo blind material folds (rather than rolling up in the traditional way) when raised. The mechanism is covered by a skirt. This hides the mechanism. You do not need to take this into account when specifying the dimensions of the blind! As the manufacturing process is more time-consuming than for other types of mechanisms, it is more expensive. Please note: this mechanism is not recommended for blinds taller than 1.5 meters! |
Weatherproof outdoor roller blinds are a great choice if you want shades that look natural on your terrace. They effectively reduce incoming sunlight and filter UV rays, protecting the surfaces from fading. Privacy blinds also allow natural light through, providing a shaded yet bright ambiance. Its lightweight structure allows it to cover larger areas with ease. It is suitable for shading doors and windows, and in smaller sizes can be installed even without drilling.

It is worth treating weatherproof outdoor roller blinds with wood oil or thin glaze, as these penetrate deeply and do not create a cracked surface. It is generally recommended to repeat surface treatment every 2-3 years, but in places exposed to strong sunlight, more frequent maintenance may be needed. It is important that the blind is completely dry, dust-free, and clean before treatment. Lacquering the blind is not recommended, as the weaving threads may harden and become more brittle. Important warning: strong wind can damage the lowered blind, so if left unattended or during windy, stormy weather, always raise it.
No need to panic, simply lay out the blind and wait for it to dry completely. IMPORTANT: Do NOT roll up the wet blind, as this will make it much more susceptible to mold!
No, it is NOT recommended to treat the blind with paraffin oil. Paraffin oil does not dry properly, leaving the bamboo blind surface sticky. Dirt and dust can easily settle on the sticky surface. Treat with wood oil or thin glaze.
It depends on where the blind is to be placed. If you want to install it horizontally or with a slight incline (up to 45 degrees) for example on top of a pergola for shading, BC-30 is the best choice. The closely placed slats almost completely block sunlight coming from above. For vertical shading (e.g. window, balcony side) BC-12, BC-13, or BC-09 materials are recommended. These filter slanting light more effectively. In short: Horizontal surface? BC-30. Vertical surface? BC-12 / BC-13/ BC-09.
Made to measure bamboo blinds are manufactured based on the dimensions provided, so these measurements must be accurate. Measure width and height in centimeters, accurate to one decimal place. IMPORTANT: Allow enough space for the rolled-up blind when installing.
We not only manufacture rectangular blinds, but also offer the option of manufacturing slanted blinds. Here, the top slat is slanted, while the other three sides are the same as on a normal bamboo blind. Please note that this type of roller blind cannot be raised completely, only to the lower point of the slanted section. For this, you need the width and the length of both sides. A drawing is required for clear manufacturing. On your drawing, represent the blind from that side where you will stand when pulling up the blind, and indicate which edge the cord should be on. For easier use, it is practical to place the cord on the longer side of the blind. On surfaces steeper than 30°, the automatic brake may not work, so stopping must be done manually.
This product may also be known as bamboo blinds b&q.
It is possible to order weatherproof outdoor roller blinds made from second-class materials. The advantage is that second-class options are available at more favorable prices. Second-class outdoor bamboo blinds may have minor flaws and variations. Examples include: the width of the blind may be ±3 mm, edge height may differ by 2 cm/m, slight twisting of slats, somewhat uneven color, and slightly curved slat ends. Typically, only 1-2 of these issues appear on a single blind. Second-class blinds are also suitable for outdoor use when properly treated with wood oil.
