It is especially useful when you want to filter light coming from the roof.
These bamboo blinds for balcony serve their function excellently. With proper surface treatment, bamboo outdoor shades maintain their durability in the long run. Additionally, all models have a braking mechanism, so you can easily stop them at the desired height.

Mechanics: 1G Traditional bamboo roller blind with visible mechanismClassic, visible mechanism. Easy to install, entirely metal construction. Can be installed without drilling. We do not manufacture blinds taller than 3 meters with this mechanism, as the slats are not structurally suitable for this. The blind material rolls up from the bottom. |
Mechanics: 2G Indoor and outdoor bamboo blinds with concealed mechanismThe mechanism is covered by a skirt. This hides the mechanism. You do not need to take this into account when specifying the dimensions of the roller blind! We also recommend it for large, extra-wide or extra-high outdoor bamboo roller blinds. The roller blind material rolls up from the bottom. |
Mechanics: 3G This bamboo roller blind is made with reinforced slats and no skirting. Its design is the same as the 2G, but it does not have a skirt, so the mechanism is visible. We also recommend it for large, extra-wide or extra-long bamboo blinds. Particularly good for outdoor bamboo blind mechanisms. The shade material rolls up from the bottom. |
Mechanics: 2R Bamboo Roman blind (raffrollo) with concealed mechanismThe bamboo blind material folds (rather than rolling up in the traditional way) when raised. The mechanism is covered by a skirt. This hides the mechanism. You do not need to take this into account when specifying the dimensions of the blind! As the manufacturing process is more time-consuming than for other types of mechanisms, it is more expensive. Please note: this mechanism is not recommended for blinds taller than 1.5 meters! |

Porch blinds should be treated with wood oil or a thin stain, as these absorb deeply and do not crack. The treatment should generally be repeated every 2–3 years, but in intense sunlight it may be necessary more often. It is important that the blinds are completely dry when applying surface treatment. Lacquering is not recommended, as the fibers may harden and break more easily. Take care, as strong winds may damage the blinds when lowered, so always retract outdoor shades when not supervised or when windy weather is expected.
Do not worry, just let it dry completely while lowered! It is important not to roll it up while wet, as it can easily become moldy.
It is not recommended to use paraffin oil on waterproof outdoor bamboo blinds, as it does not fully dry and will leave a sticky surface on the bamboo. Dust and dirt easily stick to the sticky surface, so the use of paraffin oil is not advised.
Choosing the proper type of outdoor shades depends on where you want to install them. If they are for a horizontal or slightly angled surface (up to 45 degrees), such as on top of a pergola, this product, BC-30, is the best option. This is because the closely spaced sticks overlap slightly, effectively blocking out sunlight coming from above. For vertical surfaces, like windows or the side of a balcony, it is better to choose another type. In such cases, the BC-12, BC-13, or BC-09 models will perform more efficiently. These models provide better filtering for light coming in at an angle. In summary, BC-30 is recommended for horizontal or up to 45-degree angled surfaces. For vertical surfaces, we recommend the BC-12, BC-13 or BC-09 materials.
It is very important to provide the exact dimensions of the bamboo outdoor shades, as they will be made based on these measurements. Always measure width and height in centimeters, with accuracy to one decimal point. ATTENTION: When installing, leave enough space for the rolled-up blind.
In addition to rectangular blinds, we also offer production of waterproof outdoor bamboo blinds in sloped designs. In this case, the top bar is slanted, while the other three sides are the same as on a regular bamboo blind. Please note that this type of roller blind cannot be raised completely, only to the lower point of the slanted section. You need to prepare a drawing for precise production. In the drawing, show the blind from the side you will be standing on when raising it, and mark which side you want the cord to be. For easier handling, it is recommended to place the cord on the longer side of the blind. Note that for slopes steeper than 30°, the automatic brake does not function reliably, so the fixing must be done manually.
This product may also be known as bamboo blinds b&q.
Porch blinds can also be produced from second-class materials, which provides a more affordable price. These products may have minor aesthetic flaws and dimensional deviations. For example, the width may differ by ±3 mm, or the height of the edges may vary by up to 2 cm per meter. The sticks may twist slightly, the color may not always be completely uniform, and the end sticks can also be a bit curved. One or two of these defects may occur on second-class products at the same time. Second-class porch blinds can also be used outdoors if properly treated with wood oil or stain.
