Cane webbing roll 60cm decorative perforated

Delivery time: 3-6 workdays to arrive to United States

Our PTH-1/2-60-D product is a perforated, octagonal cellulose-based cane webbing. It is made from folded and rolled cellulose (paper) strips. Therefore, we recommend this webbing only for decorative projects, such as making rattan panel inserts. It is not weaker than natural cane webbing! If exposed to significant load, this will slightly stretch but does NOT contract after the load is removed. It has a very uniform, thonet-like and beautiful pattern, and is extremely easy to paint or stain. You can use it to make indoor room divider screens, rattan radiator covers, or even rattan lamp shades. Its beautiful warm yellow color brightens up any room and makes it feel cozy. Browse our selection and choose the rattan panel or cane webbing that best fits your ideas!

Technical specifications of cane webbing rolls

Material: folded and rolled cellulose treated with latex. Pattern: octagonal, density of 2 holes per inch. Width: 60 cm, with the cane strands extending at least 2 cm beyond the nominal width on each side. Roll length: 15.24 meters (50 feet). Quality: First class. Load capacity: decorative – Although the strands' tensile strength matches that of natural cane webbing, after heavy load this product does NOT fully regain its size, so it is NOT suitable for seating surfaces. Moderately water resistant. This product is available as a cellulose-based rattan panel by the meter.

What is the material of these alternative cane webbing rolls?

Cane webbing rolls are available in multiple widths in our webshop. This cellulose-based webbing is not suitable for restoring cane chairs, as it is made from folded and rolled cellulose treated with latex. Do not imagine this product to be plain paper; due to special treatment, its tensile strength matches the natural rattan cane webbing while offering moderate moisture resistance. If subjected to significant load, this product stretches slightly and, unlike natural material, does NOT fully return to its original tension after the stress is removed. It is an excellent choice for decorative purposes such as alternative rattan panel inserts for doors, lampshades, thin radiator covers, or divider panels. It is very affordable and has a more even texture than natural rattan cane webbing. Purchase a whole roll of PTH 1/2-60-D and get 10% off the roll price!

This technique guarantees that the material remain even and smooth, preventing distortion. Once all sides are secured, you can trim any excess product with a utility knife or cutter. Using a slat to frame the edges at the end will conceal the staples for a truly professional finish. Whether you use it as rattan panel inserts or as a rattan sheets UK for room dividers, this technique is always effective.

How to finish rattan webbing roll UK?

Finishing is very straightforward; both solvent-based and water-based paints and stains can be used easily. Since these cellulose-based cane webbing rolls are factory-treated with latex, paints and stains do not negatively affect its stability, nor will it disintegrate. If possible, apply several thin coats using a sprayer. When painting with a brush, drips may occur on the reverse side. This problem only arises with two-sided applications (such as rattan panel inserts for doors), since the back is not visible in case of a thin radiator cover. Browse our wide variety of rattan webbing roll UK and find the perfect fit for your needs!
