This flower garland wood carving is stocked in several sizes. Width: 40 cm, height: 10 cm, thickness: 0.8 cm. Flower garland decorated with the shell of Saint James motif. Size tolerance is plus or minus 3%. Made of exotic wood, this material is from a sustainable source, created through the secondary use of rubberwood. Its light, natural color provides a neutral base for any surface treatment—from painting and stains to waxing. This product is unfinished.

The versatile use of wood carvings
Whether it’s a cabinet, interior door, chest of drawers, or a surface awaiting decoration, wood carvings stand out. This is partly thanks to how easy it is to glue them on (not only to wood surfaces). Secondly, you can match the finishing method to the color and style of your furniture. This allows you to highlight the grain of the wood carving (with lacquer, stain, or oil), or unify it with the color of your furniture (by painting). How to fix wood carvings?
No special expertise or tools are required to fix wooden onlays. For adhesion, we recommend using wood glue. As a first step, sand and then dust off the surface to receive the piece. Afterwards, apply wood glue in a thin, even layer to both prepared surfaces, then fit the two pieces together. For the drying time, press them together with a woodworking clamp or weight. If excess glue squeezes out at the sides, simply wipe it off with a damp cloth. It is recommended to wait the suggested 24 hours for drying.
What finishing methods can be used?
All decorations available in our webshop are sanded and sold unfinished. So they accept any type of topcoat well. Varnishing, staining, oiling, or waxing can highlight the wood grain pattern. By painting, you can match the carved furniture ornaments to the colors of your home and the piece you are working on. Make sure the surface is dust- and grease-free before applying any finishing method!
