We recommend a simple wood adhesive for attaching the carving. Before gluing, it's worth sanding the receiving surface slightly, but the ornaments themselves require no sanding as they are shipped pre-sanded. For lasting results, ensure the receiving surface is free of dust and grease. Next, apply a thin, even layer of wood adhesive to both prepared surfaces before joining the two pieces together. While drying, press them together with a clamp or weight. If glue seeps out at the sides, simply wipe it off with a damp cloth. It's advisable to allow a drying time of 24 hours.
Yes, their pre-sanded surface is excellent for surface treatment with wood oil. Traditional wood oil is excellent for this purpose. After shaking the oil, use a clean cloth to apply it to the entire surface of the ornament. Leave it for a few minutes to allow the wood to absorb it, enhancing the wood grain. Finally, wipe off the excess oil with a dry, clean cloth to prevent any drips. The surface drying time is approximately one day.
